Define Bypassing. Is it related to hacking? If yes. how?

As the name implies, to bypass means, to go around.
If you want to get into a nightclub and do not want to pay the cover, you sneak in the back door to "bypass" the bouncer.
If you do not want to drive through a busy downtown area, you take a bypass and go around.

Now define hacking and see if you can relate the idea of bypassing to it.
