I WILL AWARD MEDALS. The graph of which quadratic equation is shown below

OpenStudy (aonz):

umm link not working

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok wait one second

OpenStudy (aonz):

for me anyways :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here you go

OpenStudy (aonz):

so what is the question lol?

OpenStudy (aonz):

so we need to find the equation O.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The graph of which quadratic equation is shown below? y = x2 − 2x − 3 y = x2 + 2x − 3 y = −x2 + 2x − 3 y = −x2 − 2x − 3

OpenStudy (aonz):

it crosses at 1 and -3

OpenStudy (aonz):

at x and at y it is -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What does that mean

OpenStudy (aonz):

it is a smiley face parabola so it is either option 1 or 2

OpenStudy (aonz):

if it crosses at 1 and -3 the equation is (x-1)(x+3) = 0 get it? now expand this

OpenStudy (aonz):

expand y = (x-1)(x+3) and thats your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the positive ones

OpenStudy (aonz):

well just expand this first y = (x-1)(x+3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2+2x-3

OpenStudy (aonz):

yea!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So b

OpenStudy (aonz):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (aonz):

no problem!!
