Let C denote the center of dilation, and r the scaling factor. If point Q is the image of point P under the dilation, then vector CQ = r (vector CP). Here C = O = (0,0) is the origin and r = 2.5 P = P = (1, -2). So vector CP = <1,-2> So vector CQ = r ( vector CP ) = 2.5 <1, -2> So Q = C + vector CQ = (0,0) + <2.5, -5> so I believe it is the first one A
