Given than line a is parallel to line b and that line c is parallel to line d, if m<13=(12x-22) & m<14=(9x-29), find m<2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im thinking its either B or C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well what is B or C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah..oops.. lol a 65 b 70 c 85 d 110

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are all in degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i was close. How did you get that?? I guesstimated cuz the angle looked close to a 90 degree angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can know that by measurement of angle 13 and measurement of angle 14 is supplementary angle so they equal to 180 then you will get x = 11 then because when it is corresponding angles angle 2 will equal to angle 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm..I kinda get what your saying. But not completely still..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok look

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you see angle 13 and 14 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what will they become when you add then both up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah. they equal 180.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you add them together and you get some equation am right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(12x-22) + (9x-29) = 180 21x - 51 = 180 21x = 231 x = 11 get it now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, that is clear as daylight. It's just when they mix everythng together with lines and numbers is when i get stuck.. If it were just simple problems like that i'd get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so should I keep going?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or you good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im good with this one. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have a bunch of notes and steps to help out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you have question don't hesitate just ask ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, will do. Im just really crunched for time. Which doesnt leave me much time for asking. :S *sigh*
