Looking at the large triangle, the short leg, "x" is to the hypotenuse, (5 + 11) as (looking at the smallest triangle) the short leg (5) is to the hypotenuse (x) : x/16 = 5/x x^2 = 80 -> x = 4 times sqrt(5)
