RATE OF CHANGE QUESTION PLEASE HELP WILL GIVE A MEDAL Business The accompanying graph shows the revenue (in billions of dollars) generate by the hardware industry in the United States from 1995 to 2007. Find the approximate average change in the revenue for each period. a) 1996 to 2002 where 1996=14 billion and 2002=17 billion @whpalmer4
Isn't this just calculating the slope of the line going through the two points? You have a revenue change of 17-14 billion = 3 billion, and it took 6 years, so what is 3 billion dollars / 6 years? That's your average change in dollars/year.
I ALSO HAD THE SAME FIN BUT I WAS THINKING THAT IS THERE ANYFIN LIKE 0.5 BILLION DOLLARS?
@whpalmer4
@whpalmer4 please this is the original question please check it out for me.i couldnt copy and paste the graph thats why..
Yeah, if you move along the graph from year to year between 1996 and 2002 most of the annual steps are about 1/2 a square and each square represents 1 billion in revenue. 0.5 billion/year or 500 million/year.
