Are you familiar with the standard equation for a parabola? If you know it, then simply substituting the given values will get you the answer.
directrix is vertical so this will open to the right vertex is \((0,0)\) so it will be \[4px=y^2\]
\(p\) is the distance between the directrix and the vertex, which in this case is 3
So then we would re-write the equation as y^2=12x?
