using complete sentences explain two ways to simplify sqrt of 147

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

one way would be sqrt 49 . 3 that would be 7sqrt3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay but how would i find another way to simplify it

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

the other way I will guess is using the calculator it will give you 12.124...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7\sqrt3\] so it would be this

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i need to show work which i do not know how to do

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

ok you have sqrt147 that is the same as sqrt 49.3 and 49 is a perfect square, so you can take out the 7 and you have left 7sqrt3
