hartnn (hartnn):

can you find the inverse function ? Range of a function is same as Domain of inverse function..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure I understand that

hartnn (hartnn):

y= 1/(x+2) -1 can you isolate x from this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As in set the x equal to 0?

hartnn (hartnn):

no, try to bring 'x' in one side of = sign, x= .... as a start, you can add 1 to both sides, what u get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1+y=1/(x+2) y+1=1/(x+2)

hartnn (hartnn):

yes, now flip the fraction y+1 = 1/(x+2) gives 1/(y+1) = x+2 got this ?

hartnn (hartnn):

now since denominator cannot be 0, which value does 'y' cannot take ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-1?

hartnn (hartnn):

good! so, \(y\ne -1\) so which option ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D. Thank you!

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
