1) The red graph (1) is the graph of f(x) = 2x. Describe the transformation of the blue function (2) and write the equation of the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the red graph is not f(x)=2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what it says on my assignment, I didn't make that up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1374274458822:dw| this is f(x) = 2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the red graph looks more like a exponetional function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

somethink like f(x) = e^2x maybe ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a logarithmic function

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

f(x) at x = 0 = 2*(x) = 0, so red line should be zero at x=0, not 1.

OpenStudy (ybarrap):

Maybe it's f(x) = 2^x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't make the graph I just copied the question and graph that was on my assignment so I don't know why it looks the way it does

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhm ok.. well whatever the function is the blue funktion is a negative +3 of the same funktion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is f(x)=2^x, I didn't notice the error when I pasted the question on here...sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if you change the f(t)=2^x to f(t)=-2^x you get the negative version which looks like this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1374274950852:dw| somethink like this
