12cos^2x-11=0 Need to find the interval solution set

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I don't know what you mean by "interval solution set"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need the solution set

OpenStudy (mertsj):

All solutions or between 0 and 2 pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was for my bf test. He doesn't know how to do the ones like this

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well, the first step would be to get the problem stated correctly so we know what we are supposed to find. So ask your bf to see the original problem and then post it EXACTLY as stated.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will do for the next one. Keep an eye out there will most likely be more

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you want to solve this one add 11 to both sides, then divide both sides by 12 then take the square root of both sides remembering that all numbers have 2 square roots...the positive one and the negative 1. That will be the cos of the angle. So take each value and hit your inverse cosine button.
