Hi Kellygutierrez1! First of all, welcome to OpenStudy :) @nincompoop is right, it's only after that the earth's core cools down that the plate motions will cease. Scientists have speculated that it may happen in the future. However, it's gonna be in a very distant future - around 250 million years.
