Thommasville and newtown are 260 miles apart. If the scale on a road map is 1/2 inches : 40 miles . How far apart in inches will the two towns be on the map? Help

@Pabrah 260/40=6.5 So there is 6.5 40 mile intervals 1/2 in = 40 miles, there will be 6.5 times .5 = 3.25 inches separation on map
