Please help. I will fan and give medal to whoever succeeds in assisting me. Part 1: Decide whether you would use the graphing, substitution, or elimination method to solve the following system of equations. Explain, in complete sentences, why you chose that method. Part 2: Solve the following system of equations and show all of your work. 4x + 3y = -1 3x + y = 3

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

use substitute as the 2nd equation has a single y rewriting the 2nd equation with y as the subject gives y = 3 - 3x substitute this into the 1st equation and you will have an equation in terms of x only 4x + 3(3 - 3x) = -1 just distribute and then collect like terms and solve for x. when you have x, substitute into the 2nd equation to find y.
