A line has a rise of 3 and a run of 12. What is the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope is just Change in Y, rise, over change in X, run. So it's rise over run, leading to 3/12. BUT, that's a fraction, one you've probably reduced before. I'm going to assume you know how to reduce that frac into 1/4, which is your answer.

Thank you!

Np bro, thanks for the medal! :D

Also, I know this is stupid, but how do you ask another question on this site?

Hold that thought! I got it.
