in applying pascal's triangle ex. (a-b)^4 since the power is 4, we look at the 5th row a^4 + "4" (a)^3 (-b) + "6" (a)^2 (-b)^2 + "4" (a) (-b)^3 + (-b)^4

Thank you!

Wait, does the 5th row explanation apply to the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes basically the pascal's triangle goes on forever in your case, since the power is 5, you would have to use the 6th row which i did not write down and the variable follow a similar pattern to the example i showed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in your case a= x and b = 5

Thanks again!
