derrivative of (sinx) ^2

hartnn (hartnn):

have you tried ? it uses chain rule, know what that is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I sounds like 2 (sinx) (cosx) ??"

hartnn (hartnn):

correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks. I just wasn't sure if it was time cos x.

hartnn (hartnn):

see, the derivative of x^2 = 2x so, derivative of sin x ^2 = 2 sin x , but because of the chain rule, you will also differentiate, sin x so, 2 sin x cos x :) welcome ^_^
