Find the measure of each interior angle of a regular convex dodecagon.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

the angle sum is \[Sum = (n - 2) \times 180\] where n = the number of sides in the polygon. 1 angle is then \[1.. Angle = \frac{Sum}{n}\] all you need to do is substitute the value for n, the number of sides in a dodecagon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 1,800 over 12?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

yep, that will give you 1 angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so are those the rest of the angles sides? or do they somehow add up to something different?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

nope a polygon has the same number of angles as sides so in a decagon you have 12 angles. the word regular means every side and angle are equal in measurement. so finding 1 angle in a regular polygon, means you are finding the size of every angle in the polygon.
