OpenStudy (jkbo):

Please help.Which ordered pair is a solution to the system of inequalities y < 3 y >-x+5 A.(–2, 4) B.(3, 0) C.(6, 1) D.(2, 1)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

whatever the answer is, it has to make both inequalities true

OpenStudy (jkbo):

yes Thats what I not sure of because c. works well and d works well

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

I was looking at the wrong coordinate, only C satisfies both inequalities

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

D does NOT because it sure it makes y < 3 true, but it doesn't make y > -x+5 true

OpenStudy (jkbo):

o ok thank you

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

here is a graph that shows that only C is the answer (the blue region is the final solution set)
