what is the range of the function f(x)=x+5 for the domain {-4,-2,0,2,4}? A.{1,2,4,5,9} B.{1,3,5,7,9} C.{2,4,6,8,10} D.{1,2,4,6,8}

Recall that the range of a function is the set of y values you will get when you plug in the x values from the domain. So, take the 5 values they give you for the domain, and plug them into f(x). The 5 answers you get will give you the range.

what do i plug in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You cannot use f(x) to make a 2 from the domain and three answer choices have 2 in them so the one without a 2 is the correct answer. And you can also do the same thing with a 4.

You're going to plug in the values from the domain: -4, -2, 0, 2, 4
