Genetic engineering can be used to create more productive strains of farm animals. By adding genes to an animal's DNA, the animal can be made to produce milk or meat containing vital nutrients that would not be found naturally in those products. This provides a greater amount of nutrients per serving of milk or meat. Do you think that this type of genetic engineering should be pursued? Explain your answer. (5 points) What are some possible impacts (positive and negative) of this type of genetic engineering on individuals, society, and the environment?

do you want to ask me?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

one thing for sure, we've been genetically engineering crops and animals. It is necessary to do so to improve and increase harvesting and even improve the quality of food and its nutritional value, and also to perhaps slow down the spoilage of crops. I would certainly point out that the benefits outweigh the risks. Though there might be some unforeseeable consequences besides what we are already experiencing like mutation of strains in viral plants and pests.

SHE DID NOT WANT TO ASK ME :'( booooo hoooo hoooo wahhhhh wahhhhh

thanks, that helps a lot.
