Solve the equation and check the solution -5(t-5)-(t+2)=6 The solution is t =?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$$t=\frac{17}{6}$$

You need to expand the brackets first of all, so: \[-5t+25-t-2=6\] okay? then collect all of your 't' calues on one side, and all of your 'numbers' on the otherside so \[-6t = -17\] then divide '-17- by '-6' to get your answer for 't' :) Hope that clarifies it
