check all the points that are solutions to the system of inequalities y<3x+5 and y>-3x+2 A-(2,11) B-(-3,-5) C-(-3,12) D-(0,4) E-(2,-1) F-(4,4) what is the answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug them in and see if they hold true: for the first (x, y) = (2, 11) first inequality: y < 3x + 5 --> 11 < 3(2) + 5 --> 11 < 11 --> this isn't true so it's not a solution to the first one, but it a solution to the second one [just for fun and educational purposes]? y < -3x + 2 --> y < -3(2) + 2 --> 11 < -4 --> this is NOT true. so point A is not a solution since it does not satisfy both inequalities. let me know if you have follow-up questions ^_^
