should that say \[0.5(1.06)^x\]?

the faster you do that....
and its just 0.50(1.06)^x
all you need to do is put 50 where you see an x
so 0.5(1.06)^50

the first one is for the year 2000 and the second one is for the years 2010
so its 8.03 for the first right ?
