What type of function is represented by the following graph? graph begins in the third quadrant and increases until it levels off at 0, negative 3. Then the graph begins to increase again and continues to increase into the first quadrant. Quadratic Cubic Linear Rational

Again, look at the handout: http://faculty.gg.uwyo.edu/dueker/GeophysicsClass/Math%20Review/IG%20parent%20functons.pdf The namesof the functions are below the graphs. Which one do you think it is?
Quad
i mean cubic*
Great!
Which of the following represents the graph of f(x) = 1 over 3 – 2 ?
could u help with this 1?
\[\large f(x) = \left(\frac{1}{3}\right)^{-2}\]
\[f(x)=(1/3)^{x}-2\]
\[\left(\begin{matrix}1 \\ 3\end{matrix}\right)\]
Is it a fraction \(\large \dfrac{1}{3}\) or is it a binomial coefficient \(\left(\begin{matrix}1 \\ 3\end{matrix}\right)\)??
fraction..
just playing?
I didn't understand how u put it like that show i tried lol
For a function of the form \(f(x) = b^x\): If b > 1 then the graph will go up reading from left to right, like the first and last answer choices. If 0<b<1, then the graph will go down reading from left to right, like the middle two answer choices. For this question the base b = 1/3 which is between 0 and 1, so it has to be one of the middle two. Can you guess which one?
Sorry. it doesnt matter anymore. I just got kicked out of my class. until the teacher talks to my parent. for doing the assignments to quickly.
:( wow.
I know. And i really dont know much on Logs and everything in the lesson. i just got help most the time.
