OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a laboratory, an albino mouse was treated with a chemical, resulting in a somatic mutation that induced a skin tumor. The mouse was able to survive. What affect would this mutation have on its progeny? A:the mouse couldnt have any progeny B:its progeny would have been affected C:its progeny would have been normal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No affect of this somatic mutation on the progeny. However, if the gametes were affected by the chemical then the progeny may well be affected

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

most mutations that occur during a species' (those that reproduce sexually) lifetime ends during their passing, meaning they are not passed on to offsprings (progenies). one factor is what haseebgul17 mentioned, but it is more complex than that.
