Evaluate ten x minus y plus nine when x equals negative three and y equals negative six.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-48 -27 -24 -15

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

so you have 10x - y +9 x = -3 y = -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

so 10 (-3) - (-6) + 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got most of it. What im thinking is 10 (-3) = -30. So -30 - (-6) is where I'm stuck :/

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

-(-6) = 6 so you have -30 +6 +9

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

negative x negative = positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah its 15! Tyvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):
