How many coefficients are there in the expression: 9 – 3d – 7.2 + 1 1 2 3 4
I am not sure how to answer this, some people would call the 7.2 a coefficient on x^0, but some would not

I agree with @zzr0ck3r for the reasons cited. Look in your text and read the definition of coefficient. Some people might add the 9, the -7.2, and the 1 to get 2.8, call that 2.8*d^0 and claim that there are two coefficients. One would be 2.8 and the other -3. However, if we play the "what do they want" game, I suspect that the author of the question intended 1 as the answer with the -3 in 3d being the coefficient. That is speculation on my part. Do read how you text defines coefficient and let us know.
