In a geometry class, Julian is asked to draw a convex octagon. He draws a closed figure with eight sides. The sides are not equal in length. The greatest interior angle measure is 170°, and the least interior angle measure is 65°. Which statement about the figure Julian draws is true? A.He draws a correct figure because it is a regular polygon. B.He draws a correct figure because no interior angle measures more than a straight angle. C. He draws an incorrect figure because the sides are not equal in length.
D.He draws an incorrect figure because an interior angle measures more than a straight angle.
@jasmin16 Is this --> In a geometry class, Julian is asked to draw a convex octagon. supposed to be this: --> In a geometry class, Julian is asked to draw a REGULAR convex octagon.
@Directrix YES BUT IT DID NOT SAY A REGULAR CONVEX OCTAGON IT JUST SAID CONVEXT OCTAGON
@jasmin16 What do you think the answer is?
@Directrix B.
I agree with B.
@Directrix are you postive
B is what I would answer if I were doing this homework. ------------ It cannot be A A.He draws a correct figure because it is a regular polygon. because the polygon is NOT regular. It cannot be C C. He draws an incorrect figure because the sides are not equal in length. because he was not told to draw a regular polygon. It cannot be D.He draws an incorrect figure because an interior angle measures more than a straight angle because the largest interior angle is 170 which is less than a straight angle. (a straight angle has measure 180) That is what makes the octagon convex.
