OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is easy telll me what you know and we will work from there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need to know how to set up the proportion i can solve it myself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we know afb = dcb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we know af = dc and fb = cb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so AF/FB = DC/CB / = divided by

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so fill in those lenghts and tell me what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...doing it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

af=29, fb=36 etc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get 29/36 = x/11?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so find a common denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make it easy (36 x 11)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

396?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1374539927608:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

understand? so whats your answer? a b c or d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a or d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, i didnt see that, so you can use another equation to get this you can put cd over af = cb over fb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is A, then you do the multlipication thing i showed you earlier and it will end up the same answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all good?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup
