What is the equation of the line that passes through (1, 2) and is parallel to the line whose equation is 4x + y - 1 = 0?

would be y=-4x+6?

seeing as the equation run parallel to each other you automatically know what the slop is. from there it is just a matter of substituting in the coordinates that the line must run through.
