does that say \(y=-x^2+401x\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Write the equation of the hillside (straight line with slope = 1/2) and solve both equations to see where they will meet.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so solve \[-x^2+401x=\frac{1}{2}x\] which is not as hard as it looks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can rewrite it as \[x^2-400.5x=0\] then factor and solve in one step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, sorry can washing dishes v.v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@satellite73 when solving do you get x=0, 400.5
