I'm working on an assignment now about it and yes you did explain it to me but its about how the Greeks used it and I think I know but I'm not too sure

Well, same story. A classic example was in deriving the area of a circle using approximations from polygons inscribed and escribed around the circle.
The deduced that the area of the circle must lie somewhere between both polygons.
