solution of y - x < -3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solving for y or x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh wait jk it's an inequality. Lol it's early XD The answer is y<x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve 7x + 1 < 4(x - 2).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you want me to explain or do you just want the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both I don't understand it xP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok :) 7x + 1 < 4(x - 2) distribute 4 to x and -2 7x + 1 < 4x -8 subtract 4x from both sides 3x + 1 < -8 subtract one from both sides 3x < -9 divide three from both sides x < -3 and there's your answer :) So all you're really doing id trying to get x all by itself by slowly getting rid of numbers :) Did that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahah yeah sweet thank you so much!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
