How come H-NMR computer simulators can't predict OH groups? Such as nmrdb.org/predictor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because in common states, Hydrogen attached to an electronegative group such as N or O is exchanged and will not be detected by nmr .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ardalan what do you mean by exchanged?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means that when the solvent is protic, the acidic hydrogens (those that i mentioned) will be exchanged with solvent hydrogens so fast that nmr cannot see them.
