So I'm not really god with proofs. Maybe someone can explain this problem better and how to do it.

OpenStudy (phi):

you have the correct answer selected. Are you asking why is that the correct answer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just picked a random answer. I don't really know how to do this well. I read through my lesson and had no idea what it was saying. I just thought I'd get a little extra help on here to help me understand it.

OpenStudy (phi):

First, they are "writing a proof" and they want you to be able to follow along and understand it. Second, they put a small mistake in the write-up, and they want you to notice and correct the mistake.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand that part. What I don't understand is how to get what the mistake is.

OpenStudy (phi):

we can try to interpret each statement they give, and see they make sense they start with saying that Gina is proving that the segment joining the mid points of 2 sides of a triangle is parallel to the 3rd side So the first question is, Can you make sense of that statement ?

OpenStudy (phi):

segment joining the mid points of 2 sides here segment means line midpoint of a side means the middle point of one of the legs of a triangle

OpenStudy (phi):

you might try drawing a picture of what it means can you do that ?
