So I'm not really god with proofs. Maybe someone can explain this problem better and how to do it.

I just picked a random answer. I don't really know how to do this well. I read through my lesson and had no idea what it was saying. I just thought I'd get a little extra help on here to help me understand it.

First, they are "writing a proof" and they want you to be able to follow along and understand it.

Second, they put a small mistake in the write-up, and they want you to notice and correct the mistake.

So the first question is, Can you make sense of that statement ?
