I know this is probably easy, but my brain isn't working. The ratio of children to adults at a baseball game is 2 to 5. If there are 7,200 children at the game, which of the following could not be used to determine the number of adults, a? 2/5 = 7,200/a 2/a = 5/7,200 7,200/2 = a/5 a/7,200 = 5/2

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

the ration is 2/5, so propotion would be 2 7200 ---- = ------ 5 a as long as you get to multiply the 7200 x 5 when you cross multiply then the equation is correct

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

so which equation when you cross multiply you don't get 5 x 7200 ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer to the question would be the second equation.

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

correct, all others just change the order, but result is the same
