A car has crashed, and you have arrived too late to photograph it. The wreckage is already gone. You see a piece of a tire nearby that you could put in the road to get a good picture. What should you do?

I would pick it up, and since I live in a small town without much traffic move it to a road in my town that doesn't have much traffic at all. Especially early afternoon.
