OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your English class has 23 students. You would like to treat the class to cookies. You would like each person to have 3 cookies. Which expression would be a quick way to figure out how many cookies you would need to bake?

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

(3/x) = 23. X = Amount of cookies. Since we don't know how many cookies to bake, yet.

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

\[\large \large \frac{ x }{ 3 } = 23\] (Wrong way, my bad. )

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

It is suppose to be (x/3).
