How do i solve the question bellow (Pre-Algebra)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question please!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y - (-5.5) < -25\]

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

y - (-5.5) < -25 y + 5.5 < -25 (negative times a negative is a positive) now subtract 5.5 from both sides y + 5.5 - 5.5 < -25 - 5.5 combine like terms y < - 25 - 5.5 y < 30.5 any questions ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y−(−5.5)<−25 i.e. y+5.5<−25 i.e. y<−25-5.5 i.e. y<−30.5

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

lol...you got your answer

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
