Do you know sin cos tan?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah can i show you how i set up the problem @jprulz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c =7 * tan15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, you got tan right but remember it is tan(x)=opposite/adjacent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tan(A)= 15/7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would give you the measure of the angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that is it, but do you know how to solve from there @Ambbiiee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i didnt notice the angle was missing you can use the law of sines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c=2.1*tan15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well all you have to do is t-1(15/7)=x. Plug that into your calc and you get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ist a two step thing you find the hypotenuse 15^2 +7^2 =C^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from there you can use the law of sines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are not trying to find the hypotenuse, just the angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(B)/side B + Sin(c)/ 7
