Which would affect the median? 22,19,38,24,22,3,23,21 A. Eliminating the outliers B. adding the data points 13 and 20 to the set C. Adding 5 to either outlier D. Decreasing the smallest and larger outliers by 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First arrange the numbers in ascending order to find the median of the given data 3, 19, 21, 22, 22, 23, 24, 38 since the number of terms is 8 i.e. even, we take the mean of the middle two terms both are 22 so median is 22 On adding 13 and 20 to the data and arranging the numbers in ascending order to find the median, we get 3, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, 22, 23, 24, 38 since the number of terms is 10 i.e. even, we take the mean of the middle two terms two middle terms are 21 and 22 so median is 21.5 so now you know the answer????
