On this graph, I got 1/2, but I didn't know since the line is where the negatives are if it was negative 1/2 or positive 1/2, so in situations like this, how do I know when it would be a negative answer positive? (picture below)

The question was "Choose the correct slope of the line shown on the graph below." and the answers were 2 −2 1/2 −1/2 I got the 1/2 part, but I don't know how to tell if it's supposed to be negative or positive, so I guessed negative and got it wrong.

How did you get -2? My teacher said to make a right triangle and to connect the lines together. Then count how many spaces they are from each other, and I got 1/2.
