x + y = 12 x - y = 10 What is the value of the x-determinant for the system shown?

x + y = 12 x - y = 10 ======= 2x=22 x=11

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

just add the 2 equations together then solve for x, y will be eliminated then when you have x, substitute into either equation to find y

+y -y will be cancelled.
