What is the equation for a circle with a center of (-4, 0) and a radius of 10? (check out attachment)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the general form is (x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 = r^2 where (a,b) is the center and r = radius

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

so plug in a = -4 , b = 0 and r = 10 and you've got it

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

so r^2 = 10^2 = 100 right?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

so its either A or C can you see which one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its C.!

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes
