factor completely: 4x^3+ 12x^2-9x-27
I think i use grouping but I'm not sure?

the book gave me the answer (2x+3)(2x-3)(x+3) i just don't know how they got there

4x^2(x+3)-9(x+3)
(x+3)*4x^2-9)

Well i combined them (x+3) (x+3) =(2x+3) and 4x^2-9 =(2x-3)(2x-3)
