“To no one will we sell, to no one will we refuse or delay, right or justice.” This quote from the Magna Carta may have influenced the colonists to believe that no person who was a criminal had the right to earn money or purchase from others each person had the right to pay money to get out of arrest and punishment no person would be expected to pay for his or her crimes if he or she could not afford it each person had rights including the right to quick and fair outcomes under the law help please! @littlenugget @countonme123 @Falco276 @Captain_Page_Turner
Definitely the last statement, that each person had rights including the right to quick and fair outcomes under the law. The Magna Carta was important for stating that everyone had a right to be judged fairly by the laws of the land and that even the king couldn't take that away. That meant even a lowly peasant had the right to redress under the law and that the king couldn't simply lock him up and throw away the key just because he didn't like the color of his cows.
thank you so muchhh
