The formula for degrees Celsius is: C = 5 over 9 (F − 32), where F stands for degrees Fahrenheit. Part 1: Solve the equation for F and show all steps. Part 2: Determine how many degrees Fahrenheit 25 degrees Celsius is. Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so first, multiply the left side by 9. Then, divide the left side by 5 to get \[\frac{ 9 }{ 5 }C=F-32\] after the first two steps

So what would 25 degrees celcius equal? sorry Im really confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we're not done yet... next we have to add the 32 to the left side, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then for part b, all you have to do is replace C in your equation with 25 and do all the math to find out what F will be. What answer did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer I got was F=77

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nailed it!

Ok thanks for the help!
