solve for x:3x ^{2} +7x=2 help?:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start with \[3x^2+7x-2=0\] and then see if you can factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you can't so i guess you have to use the quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i did^ but the only things i could factor it into was (3x+1)(x+2) but that doesnt work cause i need a negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to use the quadratic formula to solve this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, that makes sense

thank you!
