OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i will tell you the method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ready??:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

respond @linhsanityy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Draw a line from A to C..Since BC is a tangent to circle A at B.it is perpendicular to the radius. So angle B is 90 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we can use pythagorus theorem and find AC= \[\sqrt{18^2+7^2} \approx19.3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now use pythagorus theorem again \[AC^2=5^2+AD^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(19.3)^2-25=AD^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AD=18.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you got it @linhsanityy ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for the late response >_< but yea i got it thank you so much!! @krishnadas
